Yeah so basically the short story by the author qntm is called "Lena" and it is basically a psychological story written like a Wikipedia article about the first ever image of a brain transfered into a computer and sent across the internet, making several copies of that brain (or "soul") and "red-washing" and "blue-washing" the brain/code (which is basically just heavily implied torture).
